Hey There

The Valley Center Lacrosse Foundation (VCLF) was founded in November 2004 whose goal was to bring lacrosse to Valley Center. The VCLF assists in developing, establishing and supporting boys' and girls' youth lacrosse programs, teams and athletes in our community.

Valley Center Lacrosse Foundation History

Valley Center witnessed the birth of its inaugural lacrosse team in the Fall of 2004, as the first middle school junior girls' lacrosse team took to the field. This pioneering team ignited the passion for lacrosse in our community, and ever since, we have proudly continued to field our junior girls' team.

In the Spring of 2006, the Valley Center Lacrosse Foundation (VCLF) introduced Valley Center High School (VCHS) to its very first girls' varsity lacrosse team. The VCHS girls' program celebrated its first league championship in 2009 and reached the grand stage of the San Diego Section CIF Division II Championship game in 2013. Notably, two of our athletes have earned NCAA lacrosse scholarships, and many other graduates have carried on their love for the sport at the college level.

Our journey continued in the Spring of 2007 when we established the junior boys' lacrosse team for middle schoolers. This program has experienced remarkable growth, evolving from a humble ten-player team in its first season to now boasting both 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade teams, each with over 15 players. In Spring 2018, the 7th/8th grade team even clinched second place in their division.

In the Spring of 2011, the VCLF proudly sponsored the first boys' team at VCHS with a boys' junior varsity lacrosse team. In the following year, 2012, a varsity boys' lacrosse team was added. Remarkably, in just the third year as a varsity team, our VCHS team emerged victorious, seizing the 2014 San Diego Section Division II Championship.

The lacrosse program's resilience shone through as it weathered the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, taking a brief pause before roaring back to life.

As of now, the Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District has allocated separate funding for boys' and girls' lacrosse teams at VCHS, allowing the VCLF to shift its focus towards providing unwavering support to the junior boys' and girls' programs.
